About

Wayne Henhoeffer is the General Manager of Legacy Auto Credit, with a career rooted in both the automotive and insolvency industries. Before Legacy, Wayne worked as a Sales Manager and Business Manager with Walkerton Toyota, and later operated a debt consulting business—experience that sharpened his understanding of the real-world challenges clients face when rebuilding their financial footing.

In 2015, Wayne helped launch Legacy Auto Credit to develop and grow a lease portfolio specifically serving insolvency clients, blending strong underwriting discipline with a customer-first approach. Over the last decade, he has led the organization through constant industry change—adjusting to rising interest rates, navigating COVID-related sales and supply challenges, and adapting to significant vehicle price increases—while keeping the focus on smart pivots, clear processes, and sustainable growth.

Wayne also serves as Legacy Leasing’s AML Compliance Officer, supporting the business’s commitment to responsible and compliant lending practices.
